Terms of Service
Last updated: November 2025
Welcome to Smith & Kelly’s Services. By using our website or contacting us for services, you agree to the terms listed here. We keep things simple and transparent so you always know what to expect.
1. Who We Are
Smith & Kelly’s Services is a family-run home improvement company serving the Kansas City metro area. Our website is here to provide information about our services and help you request estimates.
2. Using Our Website
You agree to use our website in a lawful and respectful way.
Please don’t:
Break or try to hack the site
Use it to send spam
Pretend to be someone else
Upload harmful or inappropriate content
Pretty standard stuff.
3. Estimates & Services
When you request an estimate, the information you receive is based on the details you provide and what we see during the in-home visit.
Please note:
Quotes may change if the scope changes
Estimates are not binding until a written agreement is signed
Work schedules depend on material availability and weather (especially outdoor projects)
We always do our best to be accurate, honest, and upfront.
4. Payments
Payment terms will be clearly outlined in your project agreement or invoice.
Typical expectations:
A deposit may be required to begin work or order materials
Final payment is due when the project is completed
We accept the forms of payment listed in your agreement
Late or missing payments may delay completion.
5. Cancellations
If you need to cancel or reschedule a scheduled service, please let us know as soon as possible.
For larger projects, cancellation policies will be included in the signed contract.
6. Warranties & Guarantees
We stand behind our work. Specific warranties depend on the type of project, materials used, and manufacturer guarantees. These details will be included in your project paperwork.
The website itself is provided “as is,” meaning we can’t guarantee it will be error-free or always available.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the extent allowed by law, Smith & Kelly’s Services is not responsible for:
Website downtime
Typos or minor errors on the site
Losses caused by misuse of the website
Issues outside our control (weather delays, material shortages, etc.)
For home improvement work, all responsibilities and protections will be outlined in your signed service agreement.
8. Third-Party Links
Our website may link to other sites (like financing partners, material suppliers, or social media). We’re not responsible for what happens on those sites, so use them at your own discretion.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service occasionally. If we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of the page.
